Race Report - BSN Putrajaya Night Marathon 2012


Team Pacat and Malaysian Hikerz.. jumpa dalam hutan and now berlari sama2 atas jalanraya..

Ini adalah event ke-4 aku dalam 30 hari. Seriusly aku nak DNF event ni. Sbb aku masih xrecover dari TNF last week. Futher aku face some issue on my diet the whole week disebabkan aku stuck dgn office issue almost everyday. So makan minum aku agak kuchalana. Aku dpt rasa aku akan face big trouble dari symptom last recovery run aku few days after TNF. Serius aku in pain during the run. That show my recovery plan for this one is not as aspected.

So aku xshare hal ni dgn Suzi sbb aku xnak dia give up for her maiden Half Marathon. Kang dia plak xsedap hati aku xdakan. Aku just buat mcm biasa. Aku plan to run but not in full swing. Dalam kepala aku nak buat like what Mohan do, as a sweeper and encourage people yg dah hujung2. Aku aspect mmg aku xleh laju sbb ankle and knee aku masih berdenyut2 sakit.
She is doing her maiden Half Marathon..

Ptg event tu, Suzi bersemangat skali. Aku bawak dia join gathering kaum2 Ultra yg balik Craze n TNF. Layan minum kopi kat Galaria. Masa ni cuaca cantik sbb almost everyday hujan so hari event ni mmg nampak le awan gelap but aku xaspect akan hujan. So lps minum2, kmi bersiap2. Venue penuh dgn manusia. As usual nampak muka2 familiar, amek2 gambo. Aku sndiri just enjoy the atmosphere. Aku keep calm down Suzie supaya dia dpt habiskan in her target time. Kne relax and enjoy else kaput.

By 7.50pm aku dah masuk kandang, aku tinggalkan Suzie sbb HM akan start 20 minit later. So far FM xramai. Ada dalam 700 org ja campur smua kategori. 8PM kmi dilepaskan. Aku sendiri just start slow. Aku xrush pon sbb aku mls nak pki sgt. Aku ikut group Mohan again all the way. Sampai ke marking 20KM. Kat sini ankle aku mula buat hal balik. It same like Craze Ultra. Lutut aku pon start buat hal. Aku dah xleh nak laju sbb rasa mencucuk2. Masa ni timing cun lagi. Still in targeted time at HM marking.

At this point aku dpt encourage satu mamat yg dah start tingtong. Dia dah bukak smua barang dia (belt, bip, mp3, topi). Dah mcm org insaf. Aku just encourage dia to keep moving until next water station. Dia ikut. Lps dia minum, dia move dalam 100m terus muntah. At this point aku rasa mmg dia ni xdpt diselamatkan lagi. So aku just suh dia patah balik and get medic to assist dia. Aku percaya dia DNF.

Then aku keep moving walau pon ankle and lutut aku buat hal. Aku meet dgn satu lagi runner. Si Zul, dia ni byk jugak wat marathon. So dia nak stick dgn aku all the way. Awal2 aku dah ckp aku xok hari ni, takut ganggu pace dia. Then dia pon xok jugak sbb kurang training so we both go together. At one point aku ajar dia pasal kejar tiang lampu, kon or marker. Just nak buat dia hilang boring. We keep running in small pace. We talk about work and mcm2.
Zul yg duk berlari dgn aku from marking 20KM.. dia ni klu jadi ahli magik sure org suka
Lagi pon route PNM ni mcm rollercoster so xnak kami leka dgn route so we keep talking. Si Zul ni pon ada krek skit, sbb dia akan lambai2 kat bus, kat keretapi, kat lori. Best part dpa pon lambai balik + siam horn lagi. Bila keretapi horn kami bersorak, bila lori horn kami bersorak. We keep move sampai la ke marking 30KM. Masa ni kmi tarik few more people tuk ikut group kami. Ada dalam 3 org yg join. Kmi duk merapu bercerita mcm2 just xnak dpa realise about the distance.

Aku sendiri masa ni dah teruk, sakit kat lutut mmg mencucuk2. But aku n Zul keep encourage this group off ppl. Yg best dpa ni ckp xnak kecik. Mcm2 marathon dah masuk but they beliave PNM yg paling sukar tuk dpa. Aku rasa, today is not their day. Aku ajar dpa kejar lampu. Just do run walk in this last 12KM. Masa last 5KM, 3 org ni give up. Dpa xlalu tgk bukit kat bridge sblum balik ke PoJ tu. Aku xdpt nak twist mind dpa masa ni sbb aku nmpk dpa mmg dah max. So dpa DNF. Almost smua yg aku jumpa lps tu DNF. Dpa tahan ambulan and balik. Sayangkan 5KM je lagi.

Once i learn about socks and shoes from this awesome guy.. he did 12 hours Penang with me last year.. hope to see u again bro...

 Masa ni aku tgk masa ngam2 6jam and ada 5KM lagi. So aku n Zul xbuang masa terus bergerak. Kmi keep running in small pace. Sampai PoJ dah lengang. Kmi sampai in 7h 5m. Okay la tu. Aku sendiri in pain from marking 20KM sampai finishing. Sampai2 terus cari ais and xleh nak berjalan dah.

Suzie and Ida Maria.. Ida run with me at Penang last year and keep encourage me for my FMV.. anyway.. at that moment i don't know she is Adam class teacher..

Aku yakin all this due to recovery rate yg slow dalam sminggu tu. So it really impact this event. Aku rasa this is my worst ever marathon yg pernah aku buat. 1st marathon aku pon xlbh 7 jam. But aku percaya things happen for reason. It a good lesson and a good exposure for me. Klu kita xbuat kita xtau.

Suzie manage to do her maiden half marathon in 3h27m. Ngam2 cutoff time. TAHNIAH. I beliave u can do it. It just a start. Lps ni boleh ikut lari kat Thailand plak.

Tahniah, satu lagi kerja gila berjaya dihabiskan! Rest for now, badan dan kaki nak pakai lama lagi bro.

Lari 10km bg laju dlu bro..,lps tu br upgrade ke HM and strusnya FM ..,takut kaki rosak bro...my humble advice...
