Race Report - Newton Run 2012

Venue: Kinrara
Type: Running
Distance: 25KM, 3 jam 30 minit.

Yes.. aku bukak tahun masihi 2012 ni dgn berlari, bukan 10KM but 25KM. Actually aku agak berminat nak lbh tau pasal track Kinrara ni. Slalu baca kat blog org and tgk mcm menarik. Jadi aku register event ni. Anyway, last week aku agak sibuk sbb ibu aku masuk spital. Sakit org bekerja mcm tu la. Stress. Jadi aku xdpt nak clock any big mileage sbb sibuk intertain ibu aku. Cuma jumaat malam aku manage to clock 10KM je untuk bekalan event ni.

For this event, aku did few things just to prepare myself for worst condition.

1. Aku xbwk hydration beg. Slalu for any event >20KM or track yg aku xpernah redah or organizer yg agak sengal aku akan bawak beg ni. Just incase but for this event puposely aku tinggalkan.
2. Aku xbwk MP3 player which aku slalu pakai layan berlari. Ni pon sengaja sbb aku nak push more. Aku xnak sbb mlyan lagu aku berada dalam dunia aku sendiri and aku xreally feel and enjoy the race.
3. Aku xbwk any gel, so far for any 20KM training run aku masih ada energy to finish it. Jadi aku nak tgk masa game camna.

Jadi for 21KM aku xface any issue. I did PB for HM which manage to clock 2h40m which termasuk aku take 10 minute tuk solat subuh kat esso kinrara. Tpi things happen at 22KM. Aku mula rasa goyang masa turun bukit. Mcm pening2 lalat. Perut aku mula rasa sakit. Immediate aku stop. Aku tarik napas and berjalan. It happen frequent bila aku nak mula berlari lepas tu. Aku dah mula start goyang. Badan mula rasa sejuk. Tangan shaking. Terus aku stop berlari and berjalan all the way. Paler agak pusing2. Anyway aku pon xpasti apa mslhnya. Bila masuk air pon tetap gak mcm tu. Klu ada sesapa pernah kne symptom mcm ni inform aku.

Jadi aku berjalan dari 22KM sampai 25KM. Alhamdulillah abis ler jugak. Aku xnak push to much, takut hal lain plak jadi. Sabor jelekan. Anyway, aku baru sambar ADIDAS CLIMACOOL. Jadi aku test for this run and it really2 cool. Aku xface any big blister mcm selalu. Klu dlu masuk 15KM slalu dah melecet mcm apa. Not minimum but really2 minimum. I am happy with this start.

Futher i meet new geng dari Orang Gunung KL (OGKL). Paei, kawan masa sama2 belajar dlu dalam team ni jadi depa baru mula berlari balik. Azim and Wan pon ada duk memeriahkan mejlis. Mcm biasa En Zul pon ada sama which aku pickup dia seawal 4am (sian dia tido sjam ja sbb pi layan bunga api). Jadi bagus la sbb depa akan concentrate dgn HM lepas ni and target to do FM at SCKLM.

Proberly next week will be my last event sbb Suzi dah nak bersalin. Now can concentrate more on my training.

Naish start to 2012. Saya rasa pening lalat tu sebab kekurangan gula kot. Or perhaps you over stressed ngan your heart rate. So watch out for that in future long events ya. Happy running!
