Pre - 12 Hours Penang Walk 2011

Target Distance: 50KM, 12j

Aku rasa ni antara perkara giler yg aku buat tahun ni. Akan berjalan 12jam dari jam 8 malam sampai 8 pagi. Jangan kata perkara ni mudah. Aku yakin smua org boleh berjalan tapi untuk berjalan 12 jam sepanjang malam + disapu angin laut bukan perkara yg mudah. Anyway, aku nak cuba kemampuan dan ketahanan mental dan fizikal aku dalam dunia kental ni dengan berjalan sejauh yg boleh dalam 12 jam. Aku target untuk buat 50KM untuk edisi ni. Min 40KM and max 60KM. Insyallah.

Currently latihan berjalan seperti biasa. Cuma aku tambah slot untuk speedwalk. So far aku clock 1j30m untuk 10KM dgn speedwalk dan 2j untuk berjalan lenggang kangkong. Jarak terjauh aku buat is 20KM dan so far boleh kata so good.

Apa yg aku peratikan, berjalan jauh ni kesan dia amat ketat pada pinggul, lutut, keting dan tapak kaki. Bahagian tapak kaki klu berjalan lama2 akan menjadi amat panas. Jadi beberapa strategy telah dirangka dalam hal ni. Kdg2 tu kita boleh berjalan tapi sebabkan kaki melecet la.. tapak kaki sakit la.. tu smua akan menggagalkan usaha kita. Byk blog and runners yg pernah buat kerja giler ni bagi mcm2 input. La ni aku cedok sikit2 pengalaman dpa dan massage jadi satu package untuk diri aku. In running aku percaya xsmua strategy sesuai dgn diri kita. Jadi kne try and error. Klu xcuba masuk mana kita nak tau usaha dan ilmu kita dpt diimplimentkan? Jadi here you are.

Part yg aku paling risau is MENTAL. In running and walking 10% is effort and the rest is MENTAL. Jadi hope aku akan menjadi lebih tenang sabtu ni. Amin.

La ni aku amek train ja pi Penang. Amek yg ada katil jadi aku boleh dpt cukup rest nak pi dan balik. Senin tu aku keje la plak. Jadi hanya hari kejadian baru kita tau how it feel. Hope everything will goes find...

ala buleh je. last year abg wat 12hour melaka walk. hah siap abiskan 70km dalam 12jam tu. seksa weh!!! :D

Man, just go do your best. Yes 90% is the mental part to last the 12 hours. Take a quick break and stretch every hour or so, it will help and remember to hydrate well.

this year abg nak cuba balik the same 12 hour melaka walk and hoping to beat my previous record of 70km kekeke. lebih 1km pon jadik lah

my entries are what i experience and felt ... with words. you are right, there's no replacing the real experience of going through it yourself. whatever you can cover, be very proud cause you put in your 1000% :)

lol thanks. better yet catch me and run with me, that would be very nice to support me. PNM will be the toughest marathon I have ever done and i am keeping my fingers crossed to get to the finishing line.

ya.. planning to catch u in one of the event.. bg la saya training sampai cukup sifat dulu.. hahahah..

i'll do my 1st FMV at penang next month.. now intensively in marathon training mode..

PNM gelap wooo and at night, we tend to be sleepy. not to mention very humid too.

go luck with your first FM at PBIM. I loved running on the bridge and it will be an everlasting memory for you. Not only train hard and well, but train smart too okeh!

Salute sama lu....rajin tul berlari yerk....kalau hubby I jenis rajin jogging n workout cam u kan best....bleh I join sekali...hehe
